UK Sport has announced that British Triathlon and Triathlon England have successfully reached the Preliminary level of the Equality Standard. The Equality Standard is a framework for assisting sports organisations to widen access and reduce inequalities in sport and physical activity from under representative individuals, groups and communities including females, ethnic minority groups and disabled people. It's an odd thing but, unless you are very unlucky, it's always your training tyres that get punctured and not your racing ones. Of course, if you're foolish enough to only use one set of tyres for racing and training then you'll be getting a lot more punctures than normal so perhaps now is a good time to get a new set for the winter training and save the good ones for the drier summer races.
