The Equality Standard is a framework for assisting sports organisations to widen access and reduce inequalities in sport and physical activity from under representative individuals, groups and communities including females, ethnic minority groups and disabled people. It is based around two broad themes on developing both an organisation and developing the services it provides. There are four levels of achievement: Foundation, Preliminary, Intermediate and Advanced.

In the medals... finally!
Source: Tri247.com - 20:51 20/12/2008
In Friday's interview with British Triathlon Federation President Sarah Springman, she revealed to us about the 2008 ITU World Age Group Triathlon Championships held in Vancouver in June:
"I'm delighted to report, that shortly, the athletes will receive a Santa Claus letter from me with their finishers medals from Vancouver, which is a result of excellent lobbying on our part, and good for ITU, they listened and they did something about it"

Source: Tri247.com - 20:51 20/12/2008
One part of pretty much every bike can be upgraded and make an instant performance improvement, and that's the wheels. The list of high-performance race wheels goes on and on; there are Bontragers, Corimas, Fulcrums, Lightweights, Mavics, Zipps and many more besides. It's a whole wide world of choice out there, and at prices from high to stratospheric.
Which is why our ...

Tyres can be a bit of a personal choice ...

Interview: Dr Sarah Springman OBE
Source: Tri247.com - 20:51 20/12/2008
It has to be said that doing an interview with Sarah Springman filled me with trepidation. She is, after all, such a formidable character. It is only a couple of minutes into the interview though and I am already at ease, Sarah is a very amiable person and her passion for not just triathlon, but sport in general, is highly contagious.
I came across Sarah early on in my triathlon career and although our encounters were brief, I found her incredibly supportive, both in the ...
