I’m afraid my album tastes are stuck in the late 80s and early 90s. Which albums should I listen to? Anything considered. No need to recommend anything by The Who / Led Zep / Talking Heads either. Go.

That's a very open question Wheezy, i like it!
Here's a few that seem to come up on my heavy rotation on Spotify over the years:
Ludovico Einaudi - Islands
Oh Wonder - Ultralife
London Grammar – Truth is a Beautiful Thing
Ben Howard – Every Kingdom
Bon Iver – Bon Iver
Fat Freddy’s Drop – Based on a true story
The XX – XX
Agnes Obel - Philharmonics

The Cult, start with Pure Cult (Best of) and if you like that move onto specific albums. Love, Electric, Sonic Temple - more recent stuff a bit meh! and I'm a huge fan.

Mate, I owned all of those on vinyl She Sells Sanctury was one of the first guitar riffs I learnt!
Gingerbongo; brilliant. Have not heard of any of them. Will start going through them.

Röyksopp. But be cautious, I wake up in the middle of the night because my brain is still singing their stuff. These two are especially bad...
What Else Is There?
Ice Machine (Depeche Mode cover)
(I posted links but the forum wouldn't take them and posted a blank message so you'll have to look them up on YoofTube.)

You'll recognise this then.

Oh yes! I had an epiphone copy in my late teens. 👍 Never saw them live, although I think the’re still touring.
Gus, give me a Rush album to get started with.

There's only really one album (1972). Start with Little Girl in Yellow as a taster.

I was in our local Tesco today and noticed they've suddenly got a vinyl section amongst the CD's.
Quite small, but it included:
Bat out of Hell
Dark Side of the Moon
Queen Greatest Hits
plus a few other 'classics'...
Spent a few happy minutes browsing like in the old days. Seemed strange yet bizarrely comforting to see which songs were on Side 1 and Side 2 - and 'double albums' etc... just like in the old days.
How bizarre vinyl is becoming mainstream again...

Gonna completely get shot down here .....but........
I was in the pain cave today pushing out some sweet spot reps when my playlist shuffled to ‘Our Lips are Sealed’ by The Go Go’s gave me a total lift.
Heavy stuff is out going for some Altered Images tomorrow and possibly T’Pau.

I generally prefer eclectic music, rather than certain albums/bands. Most bands seem to produce pretty samey music imho.
Why not throw some 'Hives' in there though. In particular I like the track 'Die Alright!"

So I've started my new musical 'journey'; is there a facebook group for that?
Listened to Gingerbongo's recommendation of Oh Wonder. Definitely a Sunday morning kind of album. Will be giving Gus's Rush recommendation a go next.
