A slippery index finger/keyboard mishap and I'm back for No. 5.
Odds on a hot race with light winds?
Must happen at some point surely....weekends before and after were lovely this year IIRC. |
Watching it on Eurosport now, must resist

I did it this year just so I could say I’d done it. Only planned to do it once.
Loved it. Entered for 2019 as soon as I could.
(A request for a hot race with light winds from me too - but whatever it is it’s the same for everyone!)

Rats... this thread's enthusiasm resulted in me acquiring temporary amnesia...
Momentarily forgot I have two boys under three and pressed the button...

Not been on here since ..... er Ironman Wales 2011. Amazing to see some familiar names and faces on here.
Not “raced” in Tenby since my DNF in 2016. So I’m going back to finish this time. I’ve a bucket of weight to lose so time to crack on! Hope to get some inspiration from this thread!

Being a proud Welshman this is on the bucket list..
Doing IMUK for first full, but be nice to slay the Dragon, and complete the set.
Sells out quick?

Yes it has sold out - IIRC it sold out for the first time in 2018 (about a month or two before the race) so banging out 6 months away is a first.
Let's hope it's caught a few gun M50-54 slot chasers off guard....
After a truly, epically terrible Jan and Feb i've finally laid down my first decent training week for this...feeling up for it already.

I think this is affected by the new deferral system. Now you can deffer you are more likely to book. Also i'm told, when the deferral window closes, the deferred places will be up for sale.

Spent Easter in Pembrokeshire and did a couple of reccy rides......OMG, a bit different to the flat lands of Essex! Two 80k rides each with around 1300m of climbing.
