No improvements for me with a 22.47 last weekend as a tourist at Minehead Parkrun, wind was blowing major and I had a raging hangover as was there for the PDC darts at Butlins so can't really complain! Very Happy

ran 5.5km to Parkrun, then phoned in a muddy 21.45, then ran back.

Did some vacuuming as well, does that count? Very Happy

Managed to sneak a 19:58 on the local parkrun today, not the fastest course about with quite a few dead turns but this one is slightly quicker than the usual one. I reckon maybe 25 seconds slower than a fast 5k course.

Hard work though, was suffering and was going to ease up and was wheezing like a chainsmoker (it always takes a few weeks when the temperatures start getting cold).

Been feeling it for the rest of the day though but did manage 45k on the bike later on.

Wondering if I can get in the low 19's now.

Jeff

Hmm, same parkrun about 3 weeks later and got the exact same time, 19:58, thought I was miles off until I looked at my watch heading towards the line and thought I could sneak it with a push.

Been struggling the last 3 weeks after giving blood so quite pleasing to have matched the time again.

Didn't feel as rough afterwards either and got out for 51k on the bike.

I don't put anything on Strava, it's the digital equivalent of an IM tattoo Wink

Xmas Day was the last day of my daughter being4yrs old, so we went to Parkrun and she did the full course for the first time. I ran with her.

It was pretty muddy but she didn't stop and posted a time of 40.40, she wasn't impressed with the distance but was very impressed with the chocolates at the end Very Happy

Well done little FP, not a bad time for someone so young.

New years Day 19:45 for me...7s faster than last time, after no speedwork for four weeks, a week of just about nothing, and weighing in a good 3lbs more than last time.

Getting there slowly...

Ran 5km to Parkrun, then went 21.20, then ran 6km back ( somewhat slower!)

I managed to escape from work this morning and clocked 19:32, quite pleased with that, probably my fastest 5k time for a few years.

Got a flat half marathon next week, aiming to get under 90 depending on conditions which should be doable, not sure by how much though.

After having a little niggle in my leg and some high winds during the last few of my local Park Runs, managed to get back down to 19:22 - 7 seconds off a Park Run PB. Happy with that for Feb!!

A bit more sunshine and some more gains perhaps Smile

Well done TSH, nice to be so close to a PB.

It's pacers week at our local (fast) parkrun this weekend. I'm tempted to follow the 19 minute person in the hope I can hang on for something around 19:2x but it will be hard work. I think it's looking windy as well which won't help.
