Yep - absolutely incredible. Was dot watching this and was so chuffed when she pulled away from the Spanish fella with a day or so to go.

Anyone know what happened to him in the end? He was in 2nd place and got pulled off course 6km before the finish!!! 6km of a 430 km race. He'd apparently been running with a ripped shoe and his toes exposed for 24hrs +!!!

But yeah, Jasmin is one tough lady! Holder of the records on the 3 big UK 'rounds' as well as winning the UK fell champs last year when her little one was like 6 months old or something!!! Shocked

Only that he hit the emergency button on his tracker so obviously his decision... run to total exhaustion and unable to generate enough heat walking/staggering to stay warm would be my guess.

Been following this all week, what an effort from JP, it's been cold and with only about 8 hours daylight per day mostly in the dark. I only know bits of the route but it's very exposed.

The lady in second place (Shelli) is in our running club, she's done plenty of ultra's but nothing this long, currently got about 4 miles to go Smile

She's doing it for charity after her partner committed suicide last year (also knew him a bit).

SS over the finish line. Phew.

He has his own story to tell for sure, but I'll do a teaser with "climbing up mountains with right leg as dead weight". Some people just don't know when to give up. Nutter.
