When building a training plan, are you supposed to add TSS points to a strength session or to a HIIT workout - Say 45 minutes of 30 sec on/off with a 4/5 two minutes breaks?

Friel says there is a way of using 'tonnage' to estimate TSS for weightlifting but there is nothing I can find for a hard all over body workout. It obviously accumulates fatigue but do you just class it as 'bonus work' or factor it into a weekly plan when working out overall TSS?

There probably is, however, accurate data would be hard to calculate...

You factor it in as additional to weekly load...

The problem I found with Friel's way of using tonnage and a % of total is if you are using progressive overload to increase strength the tonnage value changes every week.

I just didn't bother logging it all in the end.

Hey all - brad from the UK.

Over the summer I'd drank way too much beer and eaten to much crap - for lac k of a better term.

Anyway, I swear by doing only 10mins on the bike and 10mins on the treadmill and 10 mins doing weights.

For the bike and the treadmill, I literally go chilled for a minute and then BLAST IT for a minute...

beer belly slowly going down. too embarrassed to post pics.
