I remember the confidence with which May called the snap election.

Quite; but was it over-confidence that caused her to call one.

Cameron probably promised the EU Referendum based on a confidence that we'd vote Remain. Is Farage suggesting a second Referendum on the same grounds.

Apparently so....it's win/win for him...

Just tired of all the endless wrangling and bellyaching - can't see an end to it really - the second referendum would be argued over just as ferociously as the first.

Very simply both sides would refuse to accept the 'wrong' answer from the electorate and would 'fight' to overturn/get the right result/have another vote, whoever loses.

Really, I don't know ANYONE who has changed their minds ?

I just doubt the result would be any different, or at least not significantly different, which is what it needs, a narrow win for remain is not sufficient to overturn the first Ref IMO. It needs to be landslide either way and that just won't happen.

No, he needs to keep his personal gravy train going, to do that he needs relevant political conflict.

If you believe conspiracy nuts, his (paymasters) actual aim with all of this is simply political instability in "the west".

Do you know anyone who's turned 18, died, or gained a UK passport?

I'm not so sure. Yes, I think there would be very little difference amongst those who voted in the first referendum, but I think you might see a bigger turnout among the youth vote, like we saw in the GE, which could potentially sway it. TBH, while I want us to stay in the EU, I don't particularly want us to have a second referendum.

No actually!

But I do take your point, however most who turn 18 will vote remain and most who have died will vote leave, if you take the demographics of the last vote at face value. So that will almost cancel itself out.

My point wasn't the result will be EXACTLY the same but almost the same, with a 2/3% swing either way. That doesn't really help either argument.

There seems to be absolutely no appetite from those in power though just wind bagging from a few #@?# (on both sides)
