Looks like I'm not going to be a one season wonder then!
Signed up for the Bishopbriggs Sprint Triathlon in May next year.

Excellent decision!
you don't want to feel down after finishing it so probably best to book something else in June/July

Kind of got that covered already for July. The wife and I are doing the British Heart Foundation Glasgow to Falkirk Wheel walk. A nice wee 26 mile stroll.

I'll be up at the 'Briggs over Christmas. Hope to squeeze my bike in the back of the car, so I can do a ride over the Campsies to Fintry at some point, otherwise I'll go stir crazy there for a week. Hope to get a few runs along the canal done too.
My claim to Bishopbriggs fame is making an impromptu toilet stop off the side of the canal one Xmas Eve - it was pitch black & blowing a hooley

Awr, that's cute. Pity you didn't do it in a stable and the comparison would have been perfect.

Not sure I’d be brave enough to stop for long on that canal
