Nice - just finished rebuilding the bike.
Just the one then as I'm on the road tomorrow - a cooking lager please. What change do I need for the bar billiards table in the corner?
Cheers!

Well, it's Saturday, still in work but, since this is the place 'where everyone knows your name', I'll have a glass of Rioja, please

You're 3 days late but I'll get you a beer wonder how KS is getting on with his 15K x/c race?

I think it was only 12k if the grumblings I hear were true. Not that I went anywhere near there.

'tis 15K, Southerns are, Nationals & regionals normally 12K. He may have had a nasty shock upon arrival then!

15k it was, bit of a mudbath/pudding so a real slog - KS and I had a few guinnesses afterwards to re-fuel in Uxbridge

Ah, so my insider (someone who regularly officiates at x/c) had it wrong....that's good! He was not best pleased that there was a chance it wouldn't be the proper distance.
Glad you two got to recover with the good stuff!

Yep - I understand the north england xc champs were 12k and the nationals are 12k too - something to do with fitting in with international distance - or maybe to give Alistair Brownlee* a chance at the nationals
* I think he came 8th at north england xc champs yesterday
