I saw that at the back end of last week. It was a seriously good price. I have previously tried a prologue though, and found it rubbed between the thighs with the wider "nose" (I know they technically dont have a nose). Not sure if the 1.1 is a slightly different design however? When you say "new", is there a summary of differences?
Altho its too late now, as they've all gone of course!

| The 1.1 is based on the Adamo Attack design. More of a gradual/linear increase in width front to back which in theory means there are more positions on it that are comfortable. I think the nose is just as wide as the other models though. I have an attack on my main bike and a 1.1 on the wattbike. Pretty happy with both although do sometimes wonder about trying one of the shorter models such as the road

Again, on a recent podcast with a Kona pro, he did make a valid point about the current status of running with power. He accepted there was little data, but compared it to when PM's first arrived on the bike, and there was apparently much scepticism. He actually said long term he can see much more benefit in a PM on the run, as the physiological cost in terms of reducing efficiency of biomechanics and running form have an even bigger impact, whereas on the bike you're locked into a stable position.
I think most would accept running power meters have some evolution ahead of them, but that doesnt mean the existing products are totally worthless. I'd certainly be interested to try one if the opportunity arose or a sale pops up somewhere.

absolutely...i'm not a doubter...I can see great potential with the product, just that as yet they have not explained its benefits well.....
i have had 3 people come to me so far to determine why, despite producing more power (a simplified summary) they are not performing appreciably better...

On the face of it, you would think its along the same lines as producing more power on the bike, but being less aero to do so, and ultimately getting slower. In the same way as bike power, it would certainly never be the be all and end all, and as there are so many more moving parts to running, I can see it taking quite a while to get to the bottom of the data being produced and collected.

Yes, the stryd is still new and much in development.
I'm hoping that like so many turbo's, although not yet accurate, it may still offer me repeatable data, that I can then put into action in my training sessions...
