Fenix 5X bike mileage gone a spd/cdnce iffy

Hi anyone out there reading this :0)

My Fenix 5X has ceased showing/recording speed and mileage in the bike setting. It did this once before and I did a soft reset which solved it, but it's done it again. So, I thought I would add a speed sensor to ensure it doesn't do it at an event (already have a cadence sensor paired). I have paired the speed sensor but can't get the 5X to show both speed and cadence when riding, it's either one or the other (and that's without adding a HRM strap in to the equation.

Anyone had/resolved these two issues or any ideas what I might be doing wrong. I have done the uses WWW searches but to no avail.
