Get the disc one.

I was always anti-disc and don’t have any disc bikes but my next one will be
as long as it has
1) hydraulic discs
2) through axles

if you ever want to sell a disc one will be much easier to sell. having both disc and non disc road bikes, i really notice the lack of disc and impact on braking

Disc brakes, especially given they cost the same!

Yes, I'm baffled it's the same price. Definitely disc brake.

I can only think of a few reasons to go rim brake - if you already have nice wheels, or if you don't want to learn how to bleed hydraulic disc brakes and want to be able to do all servicing yourself.

But I'm sold on discs for road, especially if it's hilly.

Not ridden road discs, but although I think the Propel looks good, the front brake cable loses me. Always think it'd just be better with a brake on the front of the fork like normal if the cable hangs out the side like that.
