I've already looked. Circa £53 each for a single fare between Zurich airport and Thun. So for me and the other half that's £200.......wow

That would be seriously expensive. Although when I look, it's CHF 32.50 each way, which is £25, so only £100 total for two people.

Seeing as I got a day return to Bristol the other week (at the weekend) and that was over £60, it's hardly out of line with UK prices.

I was looking at "the train line" website. Definitely £53 for a single.

Failing that I'm sure Nirvana will be doing packages with airport transfers at v reasonable prices......... Very Happy

if you're based in Kent, why not drive over?? we did that 2x to Zurich in a motorhome, so given that we don't go as fast as cars (fuel consumption reasons mainly) it still only took an 8 hour drive from Calais. OK - Thun is a little bit further so let's say a 9 hour drive. with 2 people, that's an easy day's drive. also means you are not luggage restricted as you would be on a plane and costs probably comparable.
