There's always hysteria around Bolton these days, for one reason or another.

Might be a decision week before. Never ridden a TT bike but my (next to meaningless) 2c impression is that decent weather TT bike probably still better from what people in club have said, just less of an advantage compared to elsewhere. Wet and windy may be enough to make think again? Either way didn’t sound enough to make me want to invest in TT bike this year

Loads on the loop now
Still sticking with light roadie and clip ons but have better braking in tt now so may give it a blast.
Lots turning up and saying it wasn’t that bad.... then they look at the clock ....
Hopefully with practice and a few still days the speed will come.
Current kom/ best time/ strava thingy is 2:40 ish...
For 48 miles.
That’s slow.

Wow that is pretty slow, only 18mph (29kph) - even on a tough course, would expect KOM for 48 miles to be around/below 2 hours

Still early days. I’ll be aiming to do a lap this weekend ~27-28kph, and I assume I’ll be at least 5kph down on most bikers come July

With no pros this year I’m sure some of the top age groupers May have a pop just to say they won a branded IM race outright ...
The speeds of Lange, Frodo and Lionel it may be your one shot to visit the tip step...
It’s a tough bike but the fastest unpaid
guys.. and of course the top ladies will be way over 30 kph...
