So rather than waste money on a new frame, I'm doing another Jorgan re-spray project. I'm having my gen 1 SC 7.5 done in some sort of retro Porsche blue the guy had left over from a recent restoration job; well it looked nice swirling around in the pot! I'm also getting the Omega brake redone in the same gloss black. I sanded & stripped it all myself, which was a ballache, but saved on labour costs.

Pretty much all the stuff hung off it will be the same though - but at least that means no faff sorting my position out again. Got out bid on some Alpha X bars, which was a shame. Watch this space.

Right, it's back from the local body shop where a bloke does bikes as a labour of love on the side; 'just' £150 plus a tenner to get the Tririg Omega done again in matte black. It's going to take me a few weeks of piecemeal building I think; got a new press-fit Rotor BB and headset put in at the LBS, now it's sat in the spare room on a maintenance stand. I had it done in a classic Porsche blue that he had ready mixed for a customer project; it's a bit like some of the latest Toyotas, a bright solid blue colour.

I haven't managed to get any more trick Tririg kit on Ebay (either the Alpha X or a Sigma stem) so I'm going to just use all the same stuff again. I just can't decide whether to run a (blue) brake cable down to the Omega, or a bare wire with the hanger on the steerer again. I've got a Force Yaw FD with chain spotter, to replace the older one, but haven't managed to find a new non P2M chainset at the right price...so it will have 2x PMs on it for a while (Assioma + P2M) Surprised

Well, managed to find a picture of what it used to look like:

The 808 is now plastered in decals again after it went back on the hub recall couple of years ago Rolling Eyes

Well, here it is. Background not great, as we have builders supplies everywhere! I think it looks better in the flash tbh (it's darker than the sky blue it looks here); shame Lonestar isn't here to provide feedback Wink

I might go for a Tririg Sigma stem at some point, but at around £300 imported they are steep. I'm going to use a Torhans Aero 30 anyway, so that shields the whole front end. I'm also wondering if I should take the front wheel decals off again? I rode it yesterday for 75km, and that was a shock to the system! First ride on a TT bike for 6 months, and the big tilt on the bars meant my arms & shoulders were protesting within 2km! Rolling Eyes Very Happy

Precisely!

Oldest bit of kit is the disc wheel (Jan 2008) followed by the base bar (2010). I haven't changed too much really this time, just the paint, the stem (ebay), another KMC X10SL chain and the front brake cable routing method; only other real change is positional with the bar tilt. If you look after kit, it will last many years. Even the tubs are from the 2015 season, and I'm wondering whether to replace them, which will cost £75 a go! I bought the frame S/H in 2014.

Are the front wheel decals a bit much? They stuck them back on, when it went for the hub recall.

I like the decals, the lack of symmetry is an issue with 3 Zipps on the front and only 2 on the disc.

Looks good. I would leave the decals unless you're going to match up with the disc and have 2 on the front.

Noticed it's a simialr colour to a bike on a zwift ad on eurosport.
