I have just completed a significant order on behalf of my club for some awesome chunky throw and hoodies from the Lewis Bod's.
Well low and behold amongst the order was a pair of the new socks that they have been going on about.
Now I am not one to get too excited about some socks - surely a sock is sock, BUT......
On this occasion I am going to get all weepy.

The flippin things are brilliant. Not just because they were free (I hope it wasn't an oversight on Lewis's part and they will want them back) but they really are a lovely fit. They even have a less dense part around the bend in your foot - dont know (or care) what the technical name for this part of the foot is. I am wearing them now and my tootsies (sorry if this is too techy) are toastie.

As it is traditional (fact) for blokes to have socks for Christmas, I want these. So I am going to hint strongly to my missus that instead of the usual 3 pack from M and S I want these little babies.

End of commercial - only thing left to say is that if Messrs Lewis want some other stuff tested and technically commented on - well you have my address..... Wink

I'm with you on this one - any time I find black socks that are more like sports socks (you know, those black Nike ones) than little slivers of fabric, I tend to buy enough to last me a lifetime. In fact, I haven't bought any in five years!

Only by wearing the wrong socks, Gromit, do you realise how important it is to do the soxy thang!

Those are the ones mate.
However, having seen they sell them as a three pack, I am now gutted the miserable buggers at Lewis only sent me one pair.... Wink (TFIC)

that is a fairly expensive 3 pairs of socks, but they do include the Cobbster's favourite word 'merino'.

Never really looked at the price of socks before - always relied on Santa. But taking your word for it that they err on the high side - do cheaper socks offer the following...

Quote:
41% Merino Wool mix for the perfect combination of thermal protection & comfort
Reinforced heel & toe cushioning gives protection against blisters and support for the achilles heel
Elastane fibres ensure close fit & unrestricted ankle articulation
Hand link flat toe seam prevents against blisters
Perfect in the wet & cold for biking, running or simply relaxing
Plus the very popular Icon Men design in a contrasting light grey weave, to ensure the sock not only performs exceptionally well, but looks great too!

Now to be perfectly honest - havent got a clue what Elastane fibre is or whether 41% Merino Wool mix is good - what I do know is that I am seriously considering ditching my wife for another pair of these..... Very Happy

My pair just arrived in the post yesterday, planning on using them for my long run this w/e Very Happy If they are as good as they look, the 3 pack will be on my Xmas list.

And remember guys...the future's bright, the future's merino Wink

I've just received the "Big Man's Package" from Lewis. Amazing value. The hoodie is Large, Tee shirt and Long sleeve top are XL. I'm 5' 11" and 15 stone and they all fit easily.
