Yes NP needs to get his .... together and think of the Rush Massive on the other side of the pond. Or he gets sacked and they get Bill Bruford trained up, it wouldn't be any different would it?

This is the best Tom Sawyer cover I've ever seen:

Couple of things,
Firstly, there's a guy selling Clockwork Angels blu-rays for £4.95 delivered on ebay, great price if you haven't got one and in need of a live Rush fix.
Secondly, is there any possibility of further concerts ANYWHERE? I'm starting to feel as if a large void is appearing in my life! Been going regularly since the Signals Eurotour and don't want to stop yet

Not sure there'll be a tour anywhere - an appearance at a festival somewhere in N America might be a possibility. Another album might even be a possibility but without touring it, I'm not sure Geddy & Alex would record. We can all still live in hope of the great Rush return though
speaking of albums, I finally got round to buying an original vinyl copy of this :
which has at long last completed my full set of studio albums 1974 - date
( pedant alert - I don't count Time Machine as a studio album )
so chuffed
- neighbours are gonna suffer

My car music system has a hard-disk built-in, which (of course) has the full back catalogue. I've been letting it run through the whole discography over the last week or so as I drive around and ending up listening to stuff I realised I haven't actually listened to for years.
I'd forgotten how good Caress of Steel was...
Counterparts - what a GREAT album that was. Like many around that era they didn't quite hit the spot for me at the time, but only after years of listening to it off and on do I now appreciate how good some of those tracks were.
I've always said this about much Rush music (particularly the later stuff). It's so multi-layered, so complex, that at first listen it's a bit of a wall of sound, too much to take in. Only after a few years of listening to it over and over, after all those layers have sunk in and my mind can actually process them all together properly, do I really appreciate how good the music is. If that makes sense.
I was also thinking it's about time this thread made a re-appearance.

Just looked them up on Spotify ... that answers it! Their latest album is a 40th Anniversary edition of that particular album.
That explains a lot.
