What do you think? Is the big fat orange liar just about out of squirm space?

Cohen is rolling over, Flynn is still spilling his guts...

I am hoping to get an American Green card in the near future, so I will decline to comment.

He'll probably pardon them both because they're both victims of a fake news witch hunt Wink Rolling Eyes

This is all beginning to feel a little like the downfall of Lance. The protracted yet methodical march toward the indictment, the witnesses turning 'States' Evidence' or plea bargaining, and the bluster & defiance of the subject whilst this all plays out. Just like Lance, he's made plenty of enemies on his way up, and slowly they'll come out of the word-work, and inflict their individual wounds on him like Murder on the Orient Express.

I can't see the latest developments making any difference. Trump has successfully framed the investigations as politically motivated, to his supporters at least. His support will hold up, his opposition will still oppose him. America knew the man they were electing when they voted 2 years ago, nothing has changed. His support will remain until the jobs he promised to repatriate fail to materialise and/or he runs out of people to blame.

Yeah, the voters knew what kind of person he was, warts & all. The Russia 'thing' is the only hole he might fall down; I don't think his grass roots will accept Russian collusion, if indeed there is any sound evidence. If there were a true smoking gun related to that, then I can't see it going any other way than Nixon - or worse.

Who to believe.

On the other hand, his grass roots may have already taken it on board

Trump will be re-elected. I have only a 1% doubt of that. The economy is shifting along nicely, tax cut, his support base worship him. He will win reelection given the timescale. Another year could be a real problem but 2020 is perfectly doable for him.

While past performance is not necessarily indicative of the future, I was correct about his election about a year in advance, while the Economist were saying it was unpredictable even after the event. Twisted Evil

His second term is going to be really rough though. 75% confident of that.

A second term could give him the chance to be the Philip Green of US politics Laughing

Hopefully it will be a small risk (it was difficult to get a head round how deeply unpopular Clinton was) but I also hope it doesn't come to that and the muppet will eventually do a Nixon and quit.

Part of me wants him to tough it out and go through impeachment, just so we can point at him an say "Your Fired!" Very Happy
