TT is listed on the BTF website as "National", so I presume that means it should be affiliated to all of the home federations - at least I think that is how it used to work.
I'll pm Mr TT as well as if I sign up by tomorrow I get an early bird discount...

Looks like TT is not affiliated to TS this year...
Quote: | HI Doug,
I hope your well. I've been passed this message from yourself.
Basically, triathlonscotland have set up a new system with BTF which should show a list of all the drop down clubs that have been affiliated to triathlonscotland over the last year.
Tri Talk are not affiliated to TS (Perhaps BTF?). If they are not affiliated to TS then they will not be included in the traithlonscotland club drop down.
I hope this clarifies things but please get back to me if not. |

We're going to need to sort it. If we're not showing up on the drop-downs ...

Am I doing something wrong? Going through the process of joining Triathlon England and put Tri Talk in the club box but no discount showing on my membership fee?

Just a guess (as I'm not signed up myself), but are you putting "TriTalk.co.uk"? That looks like it's the official club name based on the first post in the thread, so if you're putting "Tri Talk" instead it may not recognise it.

Does this mean that a new organiser is needed for 2011?

though Tritalk appear in the 2011 CTT handbook it certainly looks that the affiliation with the CTT has lapsed because they do not appear in the more up to date CTT website list
So you can't enter open events by nominating TT as your club this year

I finally joined on the 1st Feb and it allowed me the discount - not sure why it wasn't before - maybe beacuse the price was low due to there not being much of the year left?

Does anyone know if this is going to change? Are we joining CTT in 2011?

Apologies for not seeing this earlier, but I'm lurking somewhat less here of late..In a word Jim? Yes...assuming that Gareth wants to renew this. Best to direct any queries to him via site Admin I guess. I'm still happy to field general pm's about time trialling, if I can help at all..and joining an existing CTT affiliated club is cheaper than buying a pair of calf guards..
