Completed 2 triathlons this year. Windsor Olympic (3 hours and 3 mins) and Marlow HIM (6 hours, 47 mins). OK not setting the world on fire but by blogging this down I can keep track on any improvements (hopefully).

Decided to join Phoenix tri club too, so hopefully this will help to gain experience and tips.

Feeling positive about next year. Already entered Windsor again, and will aim to do the Cotswold 113. One day I might even go the full distance.

Started 4 swim training sessions on 25th February, and managed 25 metres in crawl. Had to get my breath for about a minute, then did another 25 metres. Fast forward 2 months to 14th April and I swam 1 mile crawl (no breast stroke at all), only few seconds break from time to time in approximately 45 minutes. Chuffed as a chuffed thing. Think I'm finally getting somewhere.

Start a new set of 5 swim sessions tonight. Onwards and upwards.

So last night first in the next 5 swim sessions. Lots of drills, especially catch up and understanding why they are so important. Said we all improved our technique when swimming catch up drills, so why did it feel so hard? Oh well, keep plugging away.
